While some countries decided to select new artists, other countries, including Ukraine decided to stick to the same artist, since they did not have opportunity to show themselves in the competition. <\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>This year Ukraine selected their Eurovision song internally. Last week UA:PBC announced the jury committee for the selection of the song to represent Ukraine in Rotterdam 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":897,\"sizeSlug\":\"large\",\"linkDestination\":\"none\"}--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/ogae-az.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GO_A-jury-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-897\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ogae-az.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GO_A-jury-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ogae-az.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GO_A-jury-1-300x129.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ogae-az.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GO_A-jury-1-768x332.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:image-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>The five members of the jury were:<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p><strong>Jamala<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 singer, winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2016<br><strong>Yevhen Filatov<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 producer, leader of The Manaken band<br><strong>Ruslan Kvinta<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 music producer, composer<br><strong>Yaroslav Lodygin<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 member of the Managing Board of UA: PBC in charge of television<br><strong>Dmytro Khorkin<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 member of the Managing Board of UA: PBC in charge of radio<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Go_A submitted three songs to the broadcaster for consideration, and on February 1st 2021 the expert jury selected the 2021 Ukrainian entry. The three songs for the submission were:<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true}--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<ol><li>\u0420\u0430\u043d\u043e \/ Early<\/li><li>\u0426\u0435\u0440\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043a\u0430 \/ Church<\/li><li><strong>\u0428\u0443\u043c \/ Noise<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:list-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Each jury member evaluated each submitted song. Points from the jury  added into a rank. The song with most points from the jury won the selection. <\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>There are also different opinions of jury regarding the song. The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Jamala said:<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:quote--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>I voted for the song Noise &#8211; it sounds very modern to me. Singing live decides almost everything, so I would like to wish Katya the confidence she had in the National Final last year. Just sing, and it seems to me that everything will work out!<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:quote-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Whereas music producer and composer, Ruslan Quinta commented:<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:quote--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>I am glad that the band did not stand still for a year. We see that they have invested all their strength, thoughts and ideas in their work and great love in what they do.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:quote-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>Soloist of the band The Maneken and producer, Yevhen Filatov noted that the band still has a long way to go before the competition:<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:quote--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>I want the band Go_A to hold on, show themselves and represent Ukraine with dignity.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:quote-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>The competition version of the song &#8220;Shum&#8221; and a new video clip will be presented in early March.<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:paragraph-->\n\n<!-- wp:embed {\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sDeMfL8Ib9A\",\"type\":\"video\",\"providerNameSlug\":\"youtube\",\"responsive\":true,\"className\":\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"}--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class='embed-container'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Go_A - \u0428\u0423\u041c (Official Video)\" width=\"1778\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sDeMfL8Ib9A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div><!-- \/wp:embed-->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph--><div class=\"gridContainer\">\n<p>The song is based on Vesnyanka, a ritual song of Slavic nations, and a reminder of &#8216;Spring approaching&#8217;.
